Summer Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team over the summer period. This role would ideally suit a student, particularly someone studying hospitality or having experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen.

You will be assisting our cooks with day-to-day kitchen operations, helping to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Duties will include:

• Supporting cooks with basic food preparation
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• General cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
• Assisting with stock rotation and deliveries
• Always following food safety procedures

Requirements:

• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a busy, team-focused environment
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food hygiene and allergen awareness
• Reliability and good timekeeping
• Previous kitchen experience is useful but not essential, as full support will be given. This role would be particularly suitable for someone looking to build experience in hospitality.

Rate of pay: £13.00 – £14.35 per hour (depending on experience)
